If you watched the broadcast of our Sunday Mass today, you might have noticed that Fr. van Zee was all alone in the sanctuary (he did a pretty good job at a Sung Mass without servers, don't you think?). Well, there is nothing serious at this point but out of an abundance of caution at the advice of my doctor and the Bishop, the priests of St. Stanislaus will be following self-quarantine guidelines from the Center for Disease Control. This is all developing even as I write, so as more information becomes available, we will share it with you. We want to make sure that we do not in any way jeopardize the health of our most vulnerable parishioners, so we are following all the directives of our good medical professionals and our Bishop. This self-quarantine will apply to Father van Zee and myself. Father Liebert, fortunately, has been away from the parish since Easter. He is scheduled to return on Thursday and we are making arrangements to ensure that he does not come in contact with us so he can continue to minister to you. I will update you later this evening (Sunday) on this blog with details about the next few days. In the meantime, be assured of our continued prayers for all of our beloved parish family.
