Thanks to the 15 or so people who came to Mass this morning and stayed to help clean and prepare the Church for tomorrow's Mass. It was short notice since I have been so limited in time and Internet connection but I put the word out last night and the response was good. The Church looks like a new place after the volunteers young and old scrubbed, vacuumed, hauled, repaired and did a variety of other things to spruce up the Church. His Excellency Bishop Libasci graced us with his presence as he showed up in his house cassock bearing gifts of hosts and wine for Mass and encouraging all the hard-working cleaners. I would like to have a more major work day next Saturday to address some of the larger issues in both the Church and rectory including looking at restoring the arrangement of the steps in the sanctuary so that the Communion Rail can be re-installed. I will provide more details and a list of the work that needs to be done in the next few days.
