The City of Nashua is holding its Gate City Marathon Event(s) on Sunday, May 21st between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Traffic in the city will be detoured, namely: Main Street will be closed from Hollis to Pearl St with detour signs.
Franklin Street will be accessible normally from the north end of Main Street.
CAUTION: News reports list 900 runners in at least 3 different events: full marathon, half marathon and relay. Since the start and the finish are both set up on Main Street in the area noted above, there will be runners in all the neighboring areas. From other experience when races are scheduled (e.g. in Manchester) on Sunday mornings, you cannot get from “here” to “there” in your usual time as runners have the right of way and traffic will be stopped at intersections for the runners. We wanted to contact everybody that might be coming to St. Stanislaus for 10:00 a.m. Mass with First Holy Communion for the children to be aware your travel time may take a bit longer!
Invite your family and friends to come to the special Mass for the First Holy Communion and join us for the reception following Mass.
